Gua Sha
Gua sha is a type of scraping technique applied with an instrument (Jade Tool).
The face is pressed and stroked with the tool in a repetitive motion until a light 'sha' appears (red blushing). Gua sha causes a whopping 400% increase in micro perfusion of blood which is a huge detoxification level.
What it works to achieve:
- Improve the flow of blood, fluids and Qi which in turn nourishes the skin helping it to look younger and fresher
- Drains toxins and stagnation
- Clears blockages
- Causes a non invasive healing response
- Encourages new skin growth which in turn reduces scarring and clogged pores, helps to control acne and breakouts and generally rejuvenates the skin.
Cupping
Cupping forces the oxygen rich blood in your face to move towards the surface
What it works to achieve:
- Breaks down stagnant cells such as wrinkles, scars and fat
- Pulls blockages, toxins and stagnation to the higher levels of the skin
- Lifts tissue and skin
- Draws blood to specific areas and increases blood circulation

Your Appointment
Your appointment will be for 1 hour 30 minutes, 15 minutes of which is reserved for your consultation.
Each treatment is tailored specifically to your skin concerns and needs.
Is one facial enough? The answer to that is no.
I would love for one facial to be enough to completely cure your concerns and cause your face to appear exactly how you would like it to but that is just not realistic.
If you are looking to attend for specific facial concerns you will need to have a series of around 6-12 treatments for initial effectiveness. You should aim for a treatment once a week for this time period. It may be that your skin is at a level where an appointment twice a week for the first two weeks is most beneficial, this will be identified in your first appointment.
Breaks in the series of treatments will delay effects and may then require additonal appointments to catch up.
If you are looking to attend for some 'me time' and a general facial boost then 1-2 sessions will be lovely.
Cosmeceutical Products
Cosmecuetical products disperse through the skin as opposed to blocking it. The nature of the techniques used in this time of facial mean there is an increase in blood and Qi to the area so these products will be taken in so much more proficiently.
